Jessica&Patrick | Ruston LA Engagement Session

2 A Thousand Words Photography

When I have clients contact me from more then an hour away I always wonder what they see in me. I donā€™t mean to sound like Iā€™m not a confident person but I definitely think we have some fabulous talent in just our small area here in north Louisiana and to pick me out from so many here much less in another town, I canā€™t lie it makes me nervous and excited all at the same time.

Since Jessica contacted me we had to work diligently around Patrickā€™s schedule since he works offshore, anyone who has a love one who also works this knows it can be a challenge to schedule anything. Iā€™ve had many clients whoā€™s husbands work for the oilfield and Iā€™m always understanding of their schedule, my dad did the same so you know you canā€™t control when they have to work. It usually doesnā€™t ever become a problem except I started telling Jessica she just had bad luck LOL! Every day we scheduled there was always a huge chance of rain! If youā€™re local we can see how the day plays out day of and reschedule that day, BUT when youā€™re driving from 2+ hours away you donā€™t have that luxury. Especially when you have 3 kids in tow, since we wanted to get a couple shots of Patrickā€™s family in too. So we had Patrickā€™s schedule, kids schedule, the long drive and weather that wasnā€™t so forgiving. But after trying to schedule since the beginning of fall we FINALLY got a cloudy (but not raining) day to shoot. It was such a sweet session and we froze our tushies off but it was tons of fun. I think the kids played the whole time while we worked so at least they didnā€™t feel like they had to pose the whole time. It was great but Iā€™m glad weā€™ll have warmer weather for the wedding in Julyā€¦.although I should write off make up for that day since itā€™ll just melt off.
