Housley turns 1! | Ruston LA baby photographer

 

I can’t believe Housley is already 1! I’ve known the Thomas family for years when my best friend married into their family. I remember meeting their oldest Noah when he was Housely’s age and now he’s the biggest of the sibling bunch. This little girl completed the family with her sassy self. She is the only girl amount two brothers, yes I’d imagine she’s gonna be tough!

 

 

I had the pleasure of shooting this sweet baby’s newborn session a year ago so to hear her mom want to come back for a cakesmash made my heart flutter. I just love to see the before and afters from newborn – to toddler. I mean what a change from a year ago!

 

 

As you can probably tell from these next images, Housely is not a girly girl at heart. That may change later but for now, ripping off a tutu and headband was much needed before eating cake. She was not happy dressing up at all. No frills for this girl just give her some cake.

 

 

The mood changed drastically when the cake came. From confusion, to happy, to excitement-like-Christmas-morning. It’s been awhile since I’ve had an amazing “smasher” and she got it done!

I’m always so amazed by Jana and Chris’ talent. Chris likes to do a little wood working and I see tons of beautiful things they make themselves for the house. Jana dreams it up and Chris makes it. So of course that meant a huge sun prop to finish off the “My little sunshine” birthday theme. Loved it! Thanks to the amazing ladies at Social Bites of Ruston for making a cake to match. Housley really enjoyed it.
