Levi | Ruston LA Newborn Photographer

Now this little guy is pretty special. I guess you could call him in the A Thousand Words Photography family, seeing as his momma Gillian helps me assist and edit. His momma and I have been friends for years now and when I started in newborn photography she helped me out a lot. I needed an assistant to be my second pair of hands and she was willing to help any chance she got. It’s definitely nice to have someone you know helping out. I also know her husband very well as we graduated high school together. AND their oldest son, Shepard, and my little girl Reagan have been friends since almost birth. So yeah….I’d say Levi is pretty special.

Now I have to say Gillian is very OCD. Ask her, she’ll tell you herself! So with every boys session she wants the same shots as the others to match the earlier sessions. With that is a family picture where each new baby is included in the picture. Really meaningful shot to put next to each other I would admit. This shot looks pretty easy huh? LOL not with two toddlers! Trying to keep both happy and looking is a challenge, but worth it when you do get the shot! I kid with her all the time with her expectations but every time we get it I agree with her that it’s pretty sweet.

With 2 toddlers you can bet there was some photoshop work tho. I don’t ever risk any editing work unless it looks natural tho, I don’t want you to ever see what I did in post. So of course this photo above ^^ took quite a bit of work. Remember nothing is edited if it doesn’t look natural? So while I had to face swap, Asher’s crackers (bribery works) were left in his hand. HAHA I guess that’ll be great for the memories!

Overall the session was great! Levi was a champion sleeper! Helps to have a client who works with you and knows what to do beforehand to make for a great session. Although 80% is work to set the mood and the other 20% is just baby themselves. So if you have a fussy baby and you followed all the directions, don’t fret, your baby is not broken. Babies just make their own rules and we gotta just roll with the punches.

You’re so blessed little Levi. You have a pretty amazing family. So glad you finally have a name too 😉
