Tatum 6 months | Ruston LA Baby Photographer

 

I have lots of babies come and go from this studio. I’ve seen all types of personalities. I can honestly say Tatum has the happiest personality of any baby that has come to see me. I don’t think I got many of this girl NOT smiling, and the cutest thing is she smiles with her whole face! I’m usually standing on my head trying to get some grins but Tatum here was dishing them out faster then I was snapping them in.

And feet! Does this girl love her some feet, to the point of eating them. I about flipped when I saw how immediate she was to grab her feet when turned on her back. I always love to capture the milestones they are doing and 6-month means finding your feet and it’s always my favorite shot of the session. I mean look at that cuteness!

This girl is now the caboose of the Billberry family. She has 2 amazing big brothers along with a sister to keep her entertained. I’m sure mom is very thankful for the big kids to help in any way they can. I’m definitely looking forward to appointing some responsibilites to my own child when we decide to have #2 in our family. I can only imagine how awesome it is to have 3 big helpers.

So usually I only do an either/or thing for milestone sessions when it comes to indoor or outdoor but when Lindsay asked if we could take just a couple outside I was excited to do so. As a photographer I’m always checking my surrounding for potential shooting locations and I had been eyeing this spot for a week to shoot some portraits of my daughter. With all this rain it never happened for my tot but in between downpours we shot a couple of Tatum.

It’s crazy between the 2 picutres above. You would think they were shot on different days but when you have sun with clouds overhead, the light can change drastically in seconds. You just gotta roll with the punches to quickly refocus and get your settings right in these situations. I couldn’t have been more pleased from this spot though. I have yet to bring my girl here since it seems to be raining every afternoon but I hope I’ll get the chance soon!

So glad I got to see how much you’ve grown lil Tatum!
