**A Heartwarming Family Session with the Holloway/Martin Family in Ruston, LA**

There are some moments in life that are so special, you can’t help but reflect on them years later. One such moment came to life recently during a family session with the Holloway and Martin families in Ruston, Louisiana. As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing many milestones, but this session felt like a full circle moment—a beautiful blend of memories, love, and nostalgia.

Many years ago, I had the honor of photographing Jayde as a tiny baby in a sweet tea party setup with both of her grandmothers. It was one of those sessions that still stands out in my mind. Those images are ones that Jayde’s family will forever treasure.

Fast forward to this year, and Jayde is all grown up—not quite the tiny baby anymore, but a vibrant, chatty young girl, ready to host her own tea party. So, we decided to recreate that iconic moment.. This time, Jayde was the one pouring the tea—self-assured and full of personality. And the best part? Both grandmothers were there again, of course, but this time, they had some new company at the table. Grandpa joined in the fun, too, adding an extra layer of laughter to the scene. Watching Jayde, now so independent, pour her own tea with such joy and confidence, surrounded by her grandparents, was a heartwarming sight.

There’s something truly magical about seeing two families come together, especially when you’re witnessing the joy and love that radiates between grandparents and grandchildren. The marriage of two people isn’t just the union of their lives, but also the merging of two families, two legacies. This session beautifully captured that idea: a family, growing and evolving, but always staying connected by love.

One of the things I always cherish about family sessions is the recreation of memories—those moments that tie generations together. With Jayde’s parents, we revisited the playful scenes from when she was a baby, now in a new chapter. And I couldn’t help but smile as I watched Jayde’s parents share in the joy of watching their daughter grow, while also remembering the baby she once was.

The session also included candid recreation shots—moments where the family played together outside, enjoyed each other’s company, and just had fun. There’s something so genuine about capturing those unplanned, in-between moments: a shared laugh, a playful glance, or a spontaneous hug. Those photos are often the ones that mean the most.

Another special part of the session was capturing Jayde with her big brother, Caden. The sibling bond between them was so sweet to witness—Caden. The playful interactions between them, whether they were laughing together or sharing a moment of quiet connection, made for some truly heartfelt images. Watching them interact brought back memories of the early days when they were just getting to know each other, and now, as siblings growing up together, it’s clear the bond they share will only get stronger over the years.

Seeing Jayde and Caden interact with all four of their grandparents in a way that was different than those early years—yet still so full of affection—was a reminder of how precious family bonds are. The Holloway and Martin families, though distinct in their own ways, share something so powerful: love. And that love, I’m sure, will continue to be passed down for generations to come.

I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph these beautiful memories for the Holloway/Martin family, and I know that, just like the tea party pictures we took all those years ago, these new images will be cherished for years to come. It’s always a privilege to witness a family’s story unfold, and I’m excited to see where their journey takes them.
