This is my second time to photograph this family, although Holly had contacted me about an extended family session before, this time is was just their little family. They did sneak in an extra though! Viola is their exchange student and about to go back home and wanted to get some pictures with her before she left. Being in a family that also took in an exchange student, you become very close to an added member in your home and can be just like family. I’m so glad I got to take this session before she left.
So I am totally into candid photography, those are the real memories, and while you think that would be the easiest to capture it is actually the hardest. You see candid doesn’t come from me, it comes from you and it can feel weird to just let loose and act like I’m not there. Holly really asked me to photograph certain poses and I gathered that she wanted to capture the silliest and fun of her family and I was happy to oblige. I of course got some classic photos but I’m glad I got to get a few real moments as well. This is definitely a fun family and I laughed quite a few times throughout our time together.
So thankful for returning clients 🙂 thanks Alexander family for trusting me again to capture your moments!
