Gibson family | Ruston LA Family Photographer

A Thousand Words Photography

Goodness it seems the year is going by so quick! I literally feel like we were just celebrating valentine’s. Maybe I’m just trying to relive the winter months. I lived in Louisiana all my life, but I still cannot get use to this heat. Fall please get here soon!

Well it seems the Gibson family are accustomed to heat as well. Their little family moved here from Alabama, they moved on account of Marshall’s job relocating to here. In fact he and my husband, Lee, work closely together so it was fun joking around about my husband since he wasn’t there to stick up for himself! Between making fun tho we got to create some fun memories with mom, dad, and the kids together. Gage was cracking me up! He informed me he was 3, and having a three year old myself I understand the struggle for a toddler to smile “right”. It seems at this age when you say “smile big” in a kid’s mind that means smile till your eyes bug out. Kimberly died laughing as dad informed Gage to “chill before you pop an artery”. You got to laugh during your photography sessions right? It didn’t take long tho, Gage got the hang of it.

Reese on the other hand decided to be quite the stone face ;). She didn’t want to give me any smiles but little does she know, I caught a few when she wasn’t looking. But let me tell you, if you know me as a photographer, you know I love those serious expressions more then anything. Don’t get me wrong, everyone loves a good cheese but those eye locking expressions are just magical. Between these two, broke the cuteness overload. They were great little models!

kids

And as you can see in these next pictures, these kids have tons of love. You can obviously see the connection this family has together. Can you blame them? Those kids do something to you.
