Ā
Oh, sweet little Isla (pronounced I-la). What a sweet addition to the Davis family being the third girl of the bunch. And what an amazing family she was born into. I have gotten to know Jana and Michael through Temple Baptist where we had attended for some time. In fact, I and Jana were both pregnant with our first babies during that time and became friends quickly. Iāve always loved this girlās heart and her love for Jesus. It would only be fitting to see them leading a college class in church. Not only do they work hard in their church, but they are also the owners of the ever growing Railway Coffee business. You know the coffee you drink at Parish Press, the bags you see for purchase at Social Bites and other Ruston locations. Yep, yummy coffee for all you caffeine addicts. If you havenāt tried it you can buy your own bag at various places or wait till the fall when Railway makes itās grand opening for their own coffee shop located in downtown Ruston! Ā Iām so very excited for my friends and how much Ruston is growing!
I have to thank these guys for my newborn photography success. If it wasnāt for Jana pulling my arm to take pictures of big sister, Hartlie (pictured on the right, hot pink dress) when she was a newborn, I donāt know how long it wouldāve taken me to be a newborn specialized photographer. I was very hesitant and never in my mind thought to be a newborn photographer when she asked me to take them. You can ask her, I first told her no. Then after probably a month I finally told her Iād give it a shot. You can never grow until you do something that pushes you a bit right? Thankful Iāve grown since Hartlieās session.
Oh, and let me tell you. Big sisters Maylin and HartlieĀ are probably some of the sweetest youāll ever meet. I could just take them both home, especially Maylin! She made me smile the whole time. She showed me all her toys, told me all her favorite princesses, I just loved how much she would talk to me. 3 can be such a hit or miss age when it comes to talking. I should know as my little 3 year oldĀ would rather eat a bug then talk to someone. Hartlie was more quiet, only because she was busier playing š to be expected.
I feel like Jana always pushing my limits. First as a newborn photographer and then as a lifestyle newborn photographer. I by all accountsĀ am a posed newborn photographer. Itās just the style Iāve come to love in my newborn photography. She requested with this session to style it as a lifestyle session. This is not my norm as you can probably tell, but I donāt know what it is about Jana that makes me want to try new things. So I said, āletās do itā. I really donāt think Iām the best lifestyle photographer around (or the best photographer around either) but I would love to shoot more and learn my own style with this lifestyle look as I walk this journey. It was a lot of fun and I actually did learn a good bit from it. It all made it worth wild when Jana teared up at the pictures during our ordering session. Probably helped to know how sheās grown into such an amazing momma, I got to see her blossom from the start and sheās incredible. You might even call her supermom.
Happy BIRTHday little Isla. You are so beautifully loved.
