It’s always such a joy to have the Coyle family in the studio, and this year was no different as we celebrated Lena’s upcoming third birthday with a sweet child session. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph Lena since she was a newborn—capturing those tiny details in her very first days, then her big smile at six months, and that adorable cake smash at one year. Since then, the Coyles have made it a tradition to come see me every year, and it means the world to me to get to document Lena growing up right in front of my lens.
Lena is such a gentle spirit—quiet and observant—but she absolutely shines in front of the camera. She doesn’t need much prompting to show off those sweet expressions and subtle little smiles that melt your heart. Watching the three of them together is just the cutest thing—there’s such a strong bond between them. Lena and her dad are clearly best buddies, always sharing little laughs and playful moments. But she’s also a total momma’s girl, happiest when she’s snuggled up in mom’s arms. The love this family shares is so genuine and easy to see, and I feel so honored to capture it each year.
