Lottieās one year session
You might hear me tear up a bit as I write this blog. I just canāt believe how quick this year has flown by. I took a workshop to teach me all I needed to know about posing and photographing newborns, I vowed to learn something before I handled parentās special blessings, before I ever laid a hand on them. After my weekend of learning lighting, posing, and soothingā¦Anne contacted me about her precious baby girl Lottie and capturing her newborn session. I was super excited to start this journey and wondered how it would go. Could I put into practice all I learned? Am I cut out for this type of photography? When I got that little butterball back, I wrapped her up laid her down and she looked and smiled at me, I could not believe the shot! No newborn does that, look and smile! I seriously donāt think Iāll ever get a shot like that again. Iāve been photographing Lottie throughout her first year since and Iām so honored that Anne trusted me to keep coming back. I think I learned more and more about my trade with each of this girlās sessions.
Lottie always smiles and always cries at every session! HAHA!! No lie and I love it! I really love mad shots almost as much as happy shots. I think cause thatās reality. Babies cry. They canāt tell you they think youāre being stupid snapping all these pictures continuously without end so they cry. Canāt get my bottle fast enoughā¦cry. Canāt reach that toyā¦.cry. You wonāt let me pull the dogs earsā¦.cry. I think you get the idea. We see them cry and make those pouty faces so much and want to pull our hair out but in reality, one day they wonāt do that anymore and weāll remember how cute those faces were or how funny it was and to remember it with pictures is so much better cause you knowā¦a pictureās worth ;).
So very excited to see all these babies grow up and be apart of their first year. Oh and to answer the question I asked myself before āam I cut out for this type of photographyāā¦. Iād say so.
Iām kind of loving itā¦.. <3 <3 <3
