Liam, he’s such a chill kid. Every time I see him, he’s always so content in just being in your presence. He smiles often and sometimes let out a laugh if you mess with him. He’s a cutie for sure! I took pictures of his sister recently and since I got to see a glimpse of some of her expressions, I’ve noticed how much resemblance I see in them both.

You know a typical milestone session can be anywhere to 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the parents and especially on baby’s mood. I usually allow up to 3 outfits per this session, but his momma is always so content to get just a few good pictures to document and she’s happy with the results. And Liam was happy the entire time. So it was a quick session and productive too! It’s always nice to have smooth sessions like those.

Now of course I look at the back of my camera and check lighting and color before I get too far into the session, but once I get everything squared away I don’t usually look at the back of my camera but here and there to confirm I’m sharp and in focus. Some blurred photos are a given with how I shoot and the consistently moving subjects that I have. So usually I really don’t see my shots till it’s time to edit. I opened up my computer to get started on Liam’s gallery the other day and laughed hysterically at all his faces! Within a span of seconds I had gotten different expressions. That’s what snapping a moment in time is like. Goodness, please enjoy them as much as I did.

I love that I’m getting to photograph Liam’s first year. He’s over halfway done with his year, so we only have 2 more sessions to go. He’s growing so fast and just the sweetest little guy.
