I can hardly believe it’s been a full year since sweet Caden was in my studio for his newborn session! He’s grown so much, but at the same time, his little face hasn’t changed a bit. Those bright eyes and that charming smile are just as I remember. This time, instead of being snuggled in wraps and blankets, he was ready to celebrate his first birthday in true Louisiana style — with an LSU football-themed cake smash!
From the moment Caden arrived, he was pure joy. I honestly think he might be the happiest baby I’ve ever photographed! He smiled through every setup, flashing his little dimples and soaking up all the attention. His LSU purple and gold setup fit his playful energy perfectly, and every grin felt like he was cheering for the Tigers themselves. It’s babies like him that make one year milestone sessions so much fun — full of personality, laughter, and movement.
Speaking of movement, Caden’s crawl might be one of the funniest (and fastest!) I’ve ever seen. Instead of the classic hands-and-knees crawl, he had this adorable hop-and-scoot method that sent him flying across the studio. He could get anywhere he wanted in seconds flat, and I couldn’t stop laughing watching him zip around like that. It was clear this little guy has things to do and places to go!
When it came time for the cake, Caden was curious but not overly impressed. He seemed to enjoy it — especially smearing it across his fingers — but he didn’t have the patience to sit still long enough to truly dig in. True to form, he preferred exploring over eating! Once he decided he was finished, he made his way right out of the set, ready to check out every corner of the studio. No convincing him to go back — he was off on his next adventure.
