Carson’s Studio Session at 18 Months

It was such a joy to have Carson back in the studio for his 18-month milestone session! I’ve had the privilege of photographing him from the very beginning—starting with his newborn photos and continuing through his first birthday. Seeing how much he’s grown in just six short months was so special. His beautiful dark curly hair has filled in even more, and his little personality is really starting to shine.

Because Louisiana summers can be absolutely brutal, we chose to do this session indoors. Unless you’re willing to head outside at sunrise, the heat can be too much—especially for little ones. Studio sessions are a great alternative, though they do come with their own challenges for toddlers. At this age, kids are on the move, and Carson was no exception. He was constantly running out of the light and escaping the frame, but he stayed happy the whole time.

Despite the wiggles and giggles, we captured some truly sweet moments that reflect just how much he’s changed and grown. His smile lit up the room, and even when he wasn’t staying still for long, his joy was contagious. Sessions like these are always a reminder that the in-between moments are just as meaningful as the perfectly posed ones.
