Brielle’s Sleepy Newborn Session
Brielle came into the studio sleepy, calm, and cuddly—still snoozing soundly in her car seat. Her mom mentioned feeling a little nervous, unsure of how the session would go or how well Brielle would take to being posed. But after we picked out her session colors and discussed the prop shot Mom had in mind, we got everything set up in the newborn room and began the magic. I pulled a few floral headbands and a soft, classic bonnet to match the look we were going for.

When I started to undress Brielle for her first pose, she let out a few cries, which is totally normal. But as soon as I gently settled her into the froggy pose, she instantly relaxed—as if it was the most natural position for her. From that point forward, she was a dream to work with. She posed so easily, moving from one setup to the next like she was born to be in front of the camera. I couldn’t believe how quickly we were flying through the session.

Brielle’s session ended up being one of the fastest posed newborn sessions I’ve ever had! We completed six full poses, a beautiful prop shot, and even family portraits—all within two hours. For reference, most of my “fast” sessions still take at least three hours. It was such a fun and smooth morning, and Brielle made it effortless. She looked especially sweet in soft blues and purples, and even flashed a couple of tiny smiles that melted our hearts.

The family photos were just as special, especially the ones of Brielle and her mama—so tender and full of love.
