Easton | Ruston LA Cakesmash Photographer

I’ve gotten to know Easton for a whole year now! I knew him from the time in his momma’s tummy to his first birthday. I always enjoy photographing a baby’s first year journey, because I really feel like I’m enjoying the milestones they reach as well. I call these babies my own babies cause I feel like they are apart of this Lavender Harvest family themselves. I’m telling you I love seeing all the babies that come through my studio but these babies that I follow their journey every 3 months, man those have a special place. Many of you have sent me a personal FB request and your babies are reaching 4 years now and I’m over here posting sad face emojis because I remember all those sessions when they were struggling to keep their head up or walk and now you’re posting them with tiny backpacks and it’s just killing me how fast time flies.

Easton is in that same LHP family boat. He’s always been so easy. He’s definitely got some serious looks but he’s always been a smiler. Some kids I have to really pour on my silliness thick but I’ve never needed to try hard with him.

Mom decided she wanted to do a baseball theme for his birthday party so we obliged with a baseball set for his cakesmash session. This has been a steady favorite among my boy clients. It’s just a great theme for little boys.

He did so good (as usual) for his cakesmash session. He kept taking off his cap but so does every baby who has a hat on. They just hate hats apparently. Once he realized mom was going to keep putting it on, he decided to forget about it and just focused on playing in and eating his cake.

When we were finished, his momma had asked if there was any way to take some Christmas themed pictures because she was just too busy to take any Christmas pictures of him in December and since his big brother had some at one, she wanted some for little brother too. I’m not a hoarder, except when it comes to photography stuff including props so we just threw together something simple and got some keepsake Christmas style memories for mom. Hey Christmas came early this year!

Gonna miss seeing you every three months buddy! Don’t grow up too fast.
