What do you get when you turn 1 and you live in Louisiana?? A crawfish boil cakesmash session! If you’re a lady you’re considered “The Belle of the Boil”. Very cute idea to class up that little Louisiana lady’s session. I had to make a little sign to go with it to just add the last touch. As always Social Bites of Ruston did a great job on the cake!

It took Maren some time to finally take a bite of her cake. Which honestly is a regular thing with babies and their cakes. Many of my clients are so surprised that they don’t immediately tear into the cake but the majority of them don’t, most have to ease into smashing it up and some don’t care to. This girl mostly just took the cake crawfish and vegetables and squeezed them to nothing. Made me laugh really, she squeezed it so hard that her little face was scrunched up. She was a cute little smasher. My favorite photo has to be the one of her looking down and her double chin. Goodness I love baby double chins, definitely not my own front selfie double though?

But like all smash sessions they come to an end when baby says enough is enough! I think if I remember correctly it was close to naptime for this girl. That meant one moment she’s laughing to the next she’s overwhelmed and tired of all the attention on her. So momma scooped her up, cleaned her up while I cleaned up the set.

It was like that small break was all she needed because she came back in her little outfit mom had brought and smiled consistently. I loved her little dress. I’m picky about tulle dresses but I loved this one. And goodness does she have the best wrinkled nose smiles! My daughter has this smile sometimes too and I love it on her, it’s just something about it.

We even got a few pictures with mom and dad. I always love seeing her momma, Megan’s outfits. Anytime I would see her out or even working at The Strand she could always make any outfit look like a million bucks. You know how some mommas have that no effort look? I wish I had that but I don’t think anyone will be blogging about my no effort style, at least not in a good way. People of Walmart maybe for me.

So I after editing I realized where she got her nose wrinkle smile from HAHA! I thought it was cute that they had matching smiles. Something about those daddies and their daughters. I know that from seeing my own girl and her daddy together. I’m sure Megan loves to see her duo together too.
