Family Ties at the Country Club
Aukitrian reached out to me with a vision—her entire family was gathering for a reunion at the Jackson Parish Country Club, and she wanted to make sure the moment didn’t pass by undocumented. She was flying in from California and knew how rare it is to have everyone together in one place. The owners of the Country Club graciously allowed us to take photos out front near the water, which gave us the most beautiful backdrop for these multi-generational portraits.

One of the most touching moments of the session was seeing the grandkids and great-grandkids gathered closely around Grandpa Webb. Capturing that kind of legacy is a privilege I never take lightly. But what really pulled at my heart was photographing the adult siblings. We always remember taking sibling pictures as kids, but somewhere along the way, we forget to do it as grownups. Seeing those siblings laughing and standing shoulder to shoulder brought out a sentimental side of me—it reminded me how precious those lifelong connections are.

By the end of the session, I was absolutely drenched in sweat and downed a full bottle of water in about five minutes flat. Louisiana summer heat doesn’t play around—but even with that, it was one of the most rewarding sessions I’ve done. Photos like these are more than just images. They’re reminders of where we come from, who we belong to, and what really matters years beyond today.
