Rosie’s Sweet Newborn Session
Baby Rosie came into the studio with the most beautiful head of strawberry blonde hair, and I knew right away her gallery would shine with color. Mom and Dad arrived looking so lovely, ready for family photos, which are always such a special part of a newborn session. At first, we thought Dad wouldn’t be able to attend, but thankfully his schedule opened up, and he joined us. It made the day even sweeter to capture all three together—these moments are fleeting, and having everyone present is always worth the effort.

Coordinating family schedules can sometimes feel like the hardest part, but the truth is, those family portraits are some of the most treasured images you’ll ever own. I was so grateful that Rosie’s parents made the time to be together for this session, and it reminded me how important it is to slow down and preserve these little beginnings as a family. Their session flowed beautifully, and the family portion set the tone for the rest of the day.

When it came time for baby-only portraits, Rosie absolutely delivered. She posed like a pro, sleeping soundly through every transition. We were able to complete all six core poses plus a sweet prop shot in record time, and she did so with the most elegant ease. Newborn sessions often require a lot of patience, but Rosie made my job so simple—she reminded me once again why I love photographing this age so much.

She looked stunning in every color we tried, from soft neutrals to more vibrant tones, and her final gallery will be full of variety and beauty. Sessions like Rosie’s are a joy from start to finish, and I can’t wait for her family to see their full collection.
